I'm using T410 dedicated graphic. The fan runs constantly at 3600rpm with high pitch noise. I would like it louder with low pitch noise. Will integrated graphic generate less heat which makes the fan run slower?
I find the fan is quite is the fan runs less than 3000rpm. But the T410 fan runs only at 1900-3600-3900---.

Onboard video is always less powerful and less demanding in power consumption, so yes, by using onboard display, you should be able to reduce heat output
But will that translate to lower fan speed? You won't know until you try out.

How old is your laptop ?
    Dust can play devil also.

    3 months old.
I believe that even brand new T410 generates high pitch noise.
    Kind of miss my T400.

This is so sad—makes me glad I didn’t upgrade/replace my T400. Guess I’ll have to wait a few months after the T420 ships before I decide to hit it
