Is T400 keyboard compatible with T60/T61? I mean the other way around. Can I install a T60/T61 keyboard onto a T400 model?

Sorry to steal this thread... I'm considering ordering a T61 keyboard (probably the NMB) off of ebay to put into my T400 when it arrives... the money for it is no problem, but am I really going to notice a difference?

I personally think you should wait until your T400 arrives before ordering another keyboard. If you're not satisfied with it, then yea, by all means get one of the older keyboard models. If you are satisifed, then no sense in wasting money.

Plus its not like the one on the T400 is going to be so bad that you won't be able to bear using it for a week while the other one arrives.

Can you direct us to how you know it's an NMB?
I too would like to know this. Is there a seller that's known to ship NMB's without jacking up the price?

All I did to find out was search the model number in the search thread here and it came up. And eBay is the only place Ive found them, but also the only place Ive looked.

Be careful of Chicony keyboards being 'rebranded' as NMBs. Lenovo has started to apply NMB stickers on top of the Chicony ones due to customers not wanting them.

Can you name the source of this info? Wouldn't this be illegal if not unethical, even accounting for the fact that it's luck of the draw which keyboard you get?
If I'm going to buy a spare part, I want it to be the one that I ordered.
