According to what I read on the website, Ideapad S10 weighs 2.64 lbs, while Thinkpad X61 "starts" at 2.43 lbs. Anyone knows?

my X61s is exactly 2.85 lbs on an official postal scale with a standard screen, 4-cell prismatic battery, modem removed, and lightweight SSD.   the ultralight display might reduce that by .2 lbs but i've had both displays in front of me and highly doubt it's that much lighter.

the S10 is probably lighter but also sacrifices a lot of features in comparison.

erik, thanks for the info. Perhaps the 2.43 lbs is without battery.

According to the Tabook, the ThinkPad Bible, the weight of the X61s is 2.73 pounds with the slim battery. Where are you coming up with 2.43 pounds.
