University has a contract with GovConnection/PC Connection. Are they a reliable vendor for Lenovo? Especially if the product is open box?

I personally stay away from open box hardware of any kind, as I doubt there's any kind of rigorous testing done on it before it's resold.

My first question would be what type of warranty comes with these "open box" machines. The second would be along the lines of how heavy the discount is when compared with "regular" prices.

Without knowing the answers to these two questions, any recommendation - one way or another - is rather irresponsible.

I've ordered from PC Connection before; they're fairly reputable. It'd better be a hefty discount + a good warranty for me to consider an open-box machine though.
