Is Lenovo's Recovery software do the same thing as Norton Ghost? In other words--can I use it to backup my hard drive completely to DVDs and then use those DVDs to reinstate my system as it was (including all installed programs and files) to a freshly formatted hard drive? Thanks guys!

norton ghost will clone your hard drive, IE partitions, operating systems installed, etc. Lenovos recovery program is similar to setting up windows restore points

You probably know this, but if your using Vista there is a complete backup utility in it that will do a HD clone. The only difference is that it is not and executable. I have used it and it functions well.
