I wanna buy a new laptop for gaming and I don't have enough money to get an alienware or a clevo (also I can't because they aren't available here in Egypt)
So, I was wondering between these two:

    - HP Pavilion dv6

    - Intel® Core i5 430M Dual Core processor (2.26GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
    - Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    - 6GB DDR3 Shared Dual Channel at 1066MHZ, 2 DIMM
    - 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650
    - 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
    - 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (standard)
    - 15.6" High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1366 x 768)

    - Lenovo IdeaPad Y560

    - Intel® Core™ i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
    - Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    - 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3-SDRAM-1066
    - ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5730 GPU (1GB VRAM)
    - 320GB hard disk drive (5400rpm)
    - 15.6" High-Definition Widescreen Display (1366 x 768)

The Lenovo looks a lot better with better CPU and GPU, but the problem is that the Lenovo is cheaper
(HP dv6 = 6399 EGP, Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 = 5777 EGP). So why the hell is that, is Lenovo bad make for laptops?

The quality is comparable to the DV6, the cost of machines depend on many factors.

While I echo your sentiments, I think it could have been put a little differently - perhaps a little gently? Don't you think?

To the OP: Both are roughly comparable since both are so-called "consumer-grade" machines. But if you were comparing the HP with a Lenovo ThinkPad, the result would be a bit different with the advantage accruing to the ThinkPad. Why? Because Thinkpads are so-called "business-grade" machines and have a number of "extra" features such as the roll cages, good warranty features, a bit more rugged than the "consumer-grade" machines.

    Good luck with your purchase!

As said, the quality of them are quite similar. As far as your gaming needs, the 5730 would be slightly better and the i7 is great for future proofing unless you need the battery life.

Even if they're built in the same factory that says nothing about quality differences. Both laptops are very decent though. One thing you might want to look into is the difference between quad and dual core CPU. The Quad will give a benefit only if the games you're playing actually make use of 4 cores, a game like GTAV does for instance but there's not too many out there (yet). More and more games will probably be made for quad cores now they get more common so for future use it should be fine.

in the end, i think i'd go for the Lenovo.
