I find this express card 54 in my X220. is there a useful purpose of this.? X220 already has a build in USB3. Wondering why Lenovo thought this will be useful. Thanks

    2. It provides an easy way to add ports and features such as USB3 or 1394a that don't come built into the X220.
    3. It's a fairly outdated slot in today's world and isn't used as much as it used to be, but businesses like their legacy ports. cough cough VGA.

As a 54 slot, it can handle both 34 and 54 cards, which makes it better than a 34 slot ExpressCard slot.

I have 54mm eSata card and I love it :) Thought I got an expensive one as many of the cheaper eSATA cards suck.
