Just letting you guys know, I placed an order last night (Jan 3rd) and phoned today the THINK hotline. The guy over the phone said that they are having some internal issues with Lenovo Canada's ordering system and orders made will NOT go through. My order was cancelled at his recommendation and he told me to order next week, when the system will be fixed.
I will get a call (hopefully) when the ordering system is ready.
Also, he mentioned a 2-3 week wait for the T61p with WUXGA and DVD writer.

He also mentioned that I could leave my order and it "probably" would go through next week, but best not to take chances and complicate things.
I hope I get the same price for my T61p; I guess sending a PDF of my cancelled order would show them the quoted price?
I suggest you phone the THINK hotline (whatever it is, its toll-free) and check your order. He said that when you order, it's best to call them to check if its gone through. -

Wow, a company that purports to sell enterprise class IT products cannot get their own act together. Such a disgrace that they would even tell the customers that.

I called them and got the same response about my order which I placed back on december 19th. it was disappointing that they did not contact me before but they promised me they would keep the same price with an additional discount for waiting so long. the support guy also told me that they likely would have to send back the order but that they would contact me before. we'll see what happens...

When the iron is hot strike hard. Extract as much as you can from them in terms of discounts and freebies because you will not get another opportunity.

lcvvcf, did you mean the discount is on top of the CAPBOXINGDAY coupon? I ordered my T61p on Dec. 17th, no news about dilivery yet but I did a price match with them for the CAPBOXINGDAY coupon on Dec. 28th or something. -
I'm also curious as to the additional discount received for the delay in the order. I ordered on the web December 22nd, using the CAPBOXINGDAY coupon, but wanted to check what kind of extra discounts others may have gotten due to order mess-ups before calling in to check on my order status.

Well, perhaps you could phone Lenovo and see if your order has been processed; I believe they will stand by the price that you ordered the first time. I ordered a Thinkpad T61p with WUXGA for about 1800, hopefully they will give me the same price.

No word since Dec 17?
I recently ordered on Dec 21. I called them like a week or so ago to know the status of the order. They said it should arrive January 8th.
Are you guys put on hold for like forever whenever you call Lenovo? -
I ordered X61 on Dec 30 with the capboxingday as well
except those 2 comfirm emails...
i got nothing since then..
i called couple times...wait more than 30mins...

i just find out that..my order has been canceled with NO reason..
i have to reorder again...
they will give me the same 15% as b4....
but i have to e-mail the represative after i placed the order
btw...beware...tax is 13% now (i live in Toronto)
they charged 15% still..somehow...i dont know why?
i sent e-mail and asked ....waiting for answer. -
On the Jan-4th I called at 9am I got a rep on the 2nd ring. -

I ordered a notebook from them on Jan 5th, didn't even get a confirmation. Called once, waited for 30 mins before they told me to call back tomorrow since the order "wasn't on their screens" yet.
Called back, waited 40 mins, csr tells me the order won't go through and I should reorder through their site, but I'd lose my discount. Eventually they said they would honor the price, and to call back in a few days once their ordering issues were settled.
E-mailed their support address, no response. Called back today, waited for an HOUR, they said there was an "error" with my order and to reorder. This time no guarantee if I would get the same price. Gave me a 10% off code which he said could end today CAPBUSINESS.
This has to be the worst customer service I've ever had ordering online. If I didn't want a Thinkpad, I would never put up with this crap.
