Recently I got my new 15.4'' T61 with DVD creation. The software came for DVD creation is called InterVideo WinDVD creator. Starting this software, you will see Activation menu item after clicking Help. This Activation window asks for email, password, license key, and credit card.

I am really puzzled. If it is the trial version, then it is the first disgusting thing I have with my T61. So far I am a happy T61 customer.

By the way, I notice that this software is unable to grab folders onto DVD for copy. I mainly use DVD to back up images. Please confirm whether this is true.

    Thanks!

There are other freeware softwares like CDBurnerXP which will allow you to make discs. There are not many notebooks that are giving you free full versions of software.

    ZaZ, thanks.

Do you have this InterVideo WinDVD on your T60? Is it trial version?
    Can you confirm this?

I have my Dell 9300. It came with full-verion CD/DVD creation software.

But at least they should give a strip-down, full version of a burner software, if he purchased a burner with his laptop, don't you think so? As far as I know, all manufacturer will include at least one, usually nero burning rom express edition.
