Has anyone successfully diagnosed what is causing these to continually drop their connection? I finally got frustrated and bought a new adapter and installed it today and again it would hold a signal for an hour but that is about it before it disconnected and it takes a reboot to reconnect. Same thing as the old wifi adapter. And yes, I am up to date on the drivers, but funny thing is, I never had a problem the first 2 years I had the machine. Just the past year or so. And I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers as well as the software.

Does this happen on all networks? Just your home network? Could this be a router issue?

I use to have a lot of drop connections on my w520 and t440s for years. One day by trial & error, I discovered the problem was related to the 5GHz Wireless band of my router. So, I enabled the 2.4GHz Wireless band off my router. Since then I switch between the 2 bands and I don't have the problem anymore

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately I have ATT Uverse and I don't know if their modem supports both channels.

You can log into your router and verify whether both 2.4 and 5 GHz options are present in the setup.
