Greetings everyone.
i have a question regarding the Intel Widi on the X201 tablet.
I have a X201 that with i7 620 LM processor, and i wonder whether this system would support Intel WiDi feature?
according to Intel, the requirements are as follows:
ONE of the following: Intel® Core™ i7: 640M, 660LM, 640LM, 620M, 640LM, 690UM, 680UM, 660UM, 640UM, 620UM; Intel® Core™ i5: 580M, 560M, 540M, 520M, 450M, 430M, 580UM, 560UM, 540UM, 520UM; Intel® Core™ i3: 370M, 350M, 330M
Intel® HD Graphics
ONE of the following: Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000, Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200, Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250, Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300. The Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000 is Intel's new, power-optimized, single band 802.11b/g/n, true 1x2 MIMO Wi-Fi adapter.
and some software requirment.
the question i am having is that i7 620 LM is not listed in the CPU, but 620 m and 620 um are (pretty much all the i - series CPUs except 620 LM)? so what is so different about the 620 LM? can it use the WiDi feature?
Thanks

Try installing the driver from the Intel site. I'm sure it checks the system requirements and you'll find out if it gets around the 'must be already installed' prerequisite.
I'd expect it to work if you have the Intel Wifi adaptor - it looks more dependent on having an Intel Wifi card than the rest of the requirements due to the way it creates a WiFi PAN at a low level. -
actually it is a combination of intel wireless adapter and HD graphic (note that quad core i7 are not listed as HD graphic does not come with those quad core i7).
i was just wondering does 620LM use some strange integrated graphic card or what. -
