    Hi there!

I have a T520 with the Intel Ultimate N as my wireless adapter. I believe that it is supposed to have 3 antennas but I've heard that since I ordered it with the webcam it actually only has 2 antennas and thus isn't as zippy as it should be. (my new iPod seems to kicks its butt) I just blindly selected the Ultimate N when I configured my system. What I'd like to know if this is true and if it is, can I just order a 2 antenna Intel wireless adapter and install it in my T520?

    Thanks

you should still have 3 sets of antenna even if you order your machine with camera. I think the 2 antennas with camera only applied to the X series. You can open the laptop up and confirm it yourself.

In X series you can have 3x3 with no webcam. I have the X220 with 3x3 antennae. Unless you have those there is no point in getting the 6300 N. Also, You need a good router to make use of the 450MBs, otherwise you are stuck with 300MBs (or even 54).

Of course as a side, they have 1.3GBs wifi AC now, which should have no problem handling the 450MBs.
