I'm looking to buy a T61p notebook. I was wondering how much of a performance difference this 1gb turbo memory would make. I'm a bit of a notebook noob, so try to keep this as simple as possible :). Thanks for your help.

Well, to start it only works under Vista and I refuse to use Vista personally. Windows XP is simply better on so many levels.

Second, in my opinion the cost and the possible issues you may run into using it don't make it worth the ten minutes of extra battery life and marginal performance increase. (We are talking 2-3%)

If you are going to order a machine with at least 2GB of RAM, Turbo Memory will give you unnoticeable gains, if any at all.
