Did anyone install it on their thinkpad? Does it make a different. I guess it would help if you run database application. Also it might inscrease battery life cause less HD access will be made

btw, don't buy it from lenovo. it is around $30 shipped from amazon

It doesn't seem to make a difference. In fact I have heard of it actually causing problems and slowing down your laptop. I would just buy more ram if you want to upgrade.

It will improve performance on your system in two specific instances, the first being that you have 1Gb RAM or less and the second (as I have recently learned through STALLENs testing) when you are using RAM demanding applications.

Further, depending on the size, 1/2 of the flash is used as 'ReadyBoost' type memory and the rest is used as quickly retrievable storage.

This is why its so hard to get documented performance results I think; there is so little actually being dedicated to a specific purpose.

    Hope this helps.

And yes...tons of threads on the site about Readyboost but be warned...they will leave your head spinning and absolutely not assist with any conclusion.

I have it..and i had many problems with it so i disabled it...i then found the fix for the problem, which was to disable the hybrid disc option and all freezes and bsod's have been fixed

So i went almost 2 mo without the turbo driver installed

I notice the system to be a bit snappier. commonly used programs open much faster, so fast that the intro page doesn't even exist upon launching

I have also noticed that my system starts around 10s faster than w/o turbo mem

So i really do notice a difference and I am happy that i ordered the turbo memory...
