I jsut have recieved my X230T and am currently trying to install an intel 330 SSD. However, it is really tight in the slot and I am not sure that I can pull it out once it has been placed.

The SSD is covered by a metal case (seems like a cover/adaptor, blue intel logo is printed). I think it will fit if I take the cover out and mount it directly with the original adaptor (with a pull tab) with rubber adaptors. However, the SSD case is clearly stated that warranty will be void if the cover is removed.

Does anybody have experience in installing an intell SSD into X230(T) or X220(T)?

Intel 330 series AFAIK is 9.5mm and the X230t officially only accepts 7mm SSDs. Quite odd as the 320 series and the G1/G2 are actually 7mm SSDs with a 2mm spacer that can be removed.
