I just received my T61p in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately, I have run into a horrible snag. As soon as it boots up, the found new hardware wizard comes up. It is recognizing a network controller and not installing it. This is all on XP. From this, I assume that it is the intel pro, due to me not being able to find it in the device manager. Any help onto a way I could fix this would be appreciated. I tried to install the 3945abg drivers, but it still was not recognized. Thanks for any help.

Is there either a hardware switch or a keyboard command to enable / disable the wireless hardware? Device Manager won't see it when it is disabled.

It is still not even seeing it as being there. I double checked and the order information says that it did in fact come with the card.

Have you tried installing a driver for it?
