    Reading that the 5300 has a better distance. Anyone know if its compatable to swap out an abgn with this?



    I would guess it has to be purchased via Lenovo so the Bios will read the card.

    Pop open the bottom panel and check if there are three antennae. If not, then forget it. Not only that- I dont know if the chipset is compatible.

    Either way, it does not have to be purchased from Lenovo. I purchased my 5300 from Lagoom.com

    I've had it open before. Have 3 ant. Another source stated it was not white listed in the bios. Now just have to do some research if total compatable.
