If the laptop all ready has wirelss buillt into the system what is the advantage of purchasing Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter. I know in the grade scheme of my laptop purchase $30 isn't really that much of a big deal but I was just curious if this was something that would/would not be helpful to get. I read the description on the lenovo website but still wasn't quite sure what exactly it is used for.

well, when it says "wireless built into the system" it means the antenna and the wiring are in place but there is no actual wireless card, so you actually don't have wireless, you just have the option to upgrade latter.

sorry for bringing up this old thread, but i thought that its something important for people who are ordering new laptops to know, its really disappointing if you think you will get wireless but all you get is an antenna.
