I thought issue is local to FreeBSD, but I popped back Windows 7 HDD and saw the same settings. I disable all PCI-e energy savings, download and speedtest are slow most of the time (but not all).

T60 right next to me on same wireless network, no problem. Ethernet on same laptop, no problem. I do notice at some point it gets better, but most of the times, for example, speedtest does 1-2mb when it should be 17-18. Downloads vary. The Intel tool shows full power being used. I have BIOS 1.28.

The only reason I got the 3x3 antenna and not the webcam is to avoid issues like this. But why is this happening, I have no idea. It happens on more than 1 AP.

I did some research and most of these slow issues were on GNU/Linux. But I have it on Windows with latest BIOS and full power settings. Any insights?

Sorry, no insights here...however, I can tell you that your 3x3 antenna isn't likely helping your Intel N 1000 as it doesn't support it...

Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

I have the same problem sometimes with my 6205, I think it may just be interference. Sometime I switch the router to 2.4ghz to connect to the wireless printer, and forget to switch back. With 2.4ghz Windows and the router show excellent signal and good connection speed, say 144mbps, but still the bandwidth in the test is very stunted. On 5ghz I never have this issue. Not sure why the T60 isn't having the same issue. It's definitely the laptop though because I had this issue with another router too.

On the plus side these Intel cards and Lenovo antennas seem to be fairly powerful. There are only 16 apartments in my building, but right now windows is picking up over 30 signals. The rest are coming from across the street and with decent signal too, 2-3 bars.
