Can anyone with a T520 with integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics and the 1920x1080 screen comment on their experience.

I am about to pull the trigger and buy a T520 with the FHD display and was wondering if the higher resolution may be strenuous for the integrated graphics card.

    1) Have you noticed any stuttering in videos, image rendering, and everyday use?

    2) Most importantly, is there any heat problem, e.g. when you watch HD videos? If you have monitored GPU temps (e.g. using HWiNFO32), your observations will also be appreciated.

I use the integrated graphics on the old X201T with a 1920x1080 external monitor without issue. I can't imagine the new integrated graphics chip, which has higher performance marks, would have an issue.

    Hi ferganer80:

You'll be very happy with your decision. My T520-Optimus works beautifully. Watching bluray movies, it uses the integrated graphics without any problems. There's no choppiness or skipping. If I recall correctly, CPU lingers between 50-60 degrees celcius, while watching blu-ray movies. I don't think the CPU has exceeded low 60 degrees for anything, even during the Lenovo stress test.

    C.

Thanks. By the way. are both RAM DIMMs serviceable/replaceable through the same slot on the bottom of the machine? I was just thinking if order, say, a T520 with only one 2gb stick, will I have to open the keyboard to install 8Gb memory?
