What's best? Intel graphics accelerator 960 r ATI X1300??

The x1300. It's no contest.
-
The x1300 will be much better.

They do offer the x1400 if needed.
-
actually gma950 is only gma900 with more memory buffer, so x1300 will eat it.

I have a T60 brochure and it says that with an Intel 950 card, you can get up to 6hrs with the standard battery while 4.3hrs with a standalone card.
Can anyone verify? -
No doubt that intergated graphic use less power. I'm fairly sure the Intel site has some charts showing this...but I'm far too lazy to look them up.

The 950 is alot more power saving than a dedicated card and financially alot cheaper. What type of games do you intend on playing. If you are planning on playing FPS (Doom, F.E.A.R, HL2) Then yeah go for the other card. but if you plan on playing no games or mainly strategy games the intel 950 gma will satisfy your needs. The latest BFME Game by ea BFME II supports GMA 950.
So it's playable.
Really depends on how needy you are about games & graphics.
