I've had my new laptop for just under a month now and am loving it. When I booted earlier today, I received a notification that told me I should activate my Intel Anti-Theft which, after some research, seemed like a sensible thing to do.

I was directed to this site by another individual who apparently had a similar concern, however it doesn't appear that anyone fully addressed it.

    Two specific questions:

    1. Do I need to pay for this service (I'm assuming so since it doesn't appear to be free)?

    2. Either way, how do I actually go about activating/registering my machine? The link in the notification took me to a seemingly incorrect/generic site and this one nor any of the corporate sites under it doesn't offer much help.

    TIA
