I just bought a t430 and I got a prompt today that I should enroll the Intel Anti-Theft Service. I have been searching on internet and found a $40 activation code that is good for 3 years. This is significant cheaper than LoJack. Will that code work on my computer?

I actually was going to look into the anti-theft. Where did you find the code?

BXIATSC3YRENG is the model? Anyhow, yes, it should. However, make sure the provider is on the up and up. And search for reviews on the service compared to LoJack before purchasing. Your expensive device is not something to skimp on in terms of security. Look at the features each offers.

BXIATSC3YRENG is the model I am looking at. I am not sure what you mean by provider, I assume the service provider is Intel? If it is the ebay seller you are talking about? I think they are just selling an activation code, so it shouldn't matter.

All right, well, I did some hunting. Look around online for that model number. Just google it. i found it on 5 non-ebay sites, including amazon. i would go somewhere besides ebay, spend the 2 bucks more knowing that it WILL work.
