    Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to integrate Vista SP1 into the hidden partition of my Lenovo X60?

So the next time I so a system restore, Vista SP1 will be already install.

Is this possible? If not what about the Quick Recovery CD's I created? Can SP1 be integrated with those?

    Thanks in advance

Unfortunately you cannot integrate SP1 as easily as say SP2 for XP. Microsoft screwed everyone over requiring us to either obtain a disc with SP1 already integrated or install Vista and then download SP1 via Windows Update. Sucks.

Yup. I believe one of Microsoft's big mistakes with Vista is not making it possible to easily slipstream service packs in. It hurts power users and some IT people (fortunately, I can download Vista SP1 for work machines as an ISO through Microsoft Connect, but our version of Vista requires a Key Management Server, so it won't be going on my laptop).

I ended up buying an external DVD drive and formatting with a clean install of Vista SP1. You can download the ISO from torrent sites. The key that came with my laptop worked fine.
