When the machine is in Instant Resume mode is the standby light on the outside of the lid supposed to turn on? When I close the lid with Instant Resume enabled, as far as I can tell nothing happens (hibernate or standby setting). Bay hard drive and cpu fan still on if they already were. As far as I can tell this is just a glorified sleep/hibernate timer. Is this correct? If so I won't use it because I don't want it running in the backpack. But if it's actually supposed to go to Sleep and keep wifi on (and there's something wrong with how it's running correctly in my machine), it'll work very well for me.

With earlier BIOS versions, that's what my W520 would do. Though, when I tried it with the latest BIOS, it turns off the HDD and fan, so I'm guessing it just goes into passive cooling mode.
