I just bought an X22 off of eBay and I'm looking to install either Debian or Fedora on it, though it didn't come with a dock. And i cant seem to get it to boot from my external DVD writer (it thinks its an external Hard Drive for some reason) and it wont boot off of a USB jump drive either. Ive updated the bios, but it still wont boot off of anything other than the internal HDD. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it lists my external DVD as a Hard Drive, and it has never been able to use it even in XP, i believe it is a USB 2 vs USB 1 thing the external is 2.0 only i think.
