    OK,
I ordered a 7200rpm/60 Gig harddrive for my R51 Thinkpad. Installed the drive, then proceeded to load the IBM supplied restore and recovery disks. after about the 3rd/disk I started getting crc errors. The program would tell me to load the next disk, then I would get more crc errors. I believe I got the errors on disks 3,5 and 6. Is there any other way to get my pc running without the restore disks. Note that the original hard drive is only 20 gig. Also, the notebook did not come with the operating system (Windows XP). Any help would be appreciated.
