    Yee its easy. esspecially since most modern Manufacturers have both slots accessible from the bottom.

    The 2 RAM slots are just located beneath the palm-rest panel on the left-side of the touchpad.

    It's simply removing a few screws from the base to unfastern the palm-rest panel so that it can flip open to reveal the RAM compartment.

    Its a matter of how comfortable you feel about D-I-Y; otherwise, tell your vendor to pre-install your required capacity.

    A minimum of 2 GB is recommended if you intend to stick with Vista.

    Which ThinkPad do you have? The X series and T series have different memory locations. I'm going to assume you have the T series since that's what most people have. Here's a video to swap the T61's memory.

    I agree. Some Sony VAIO models only have 1 slot.

    Mr D has been asking along the context of the T61p if you were to refer to his other posting. I merely go along.
