I want to install an internal bluetooth chip into the laptop. Does anyone know the exact location of where the chip is supposed to go and how to get to it? Thanks.

You're going to have to tear the laptop apart to get to it. This post on Lenovo forums is extremely informative: Retrofitting Bluetooth to IdeaPad U350 - Page 2 - Lenovo Community (Includes information on the y550, not just the y350.)

Maybe buy a USB bluetooth adapter and save yourself the time and effort? (And possibly damaging your machine.)

Newegg.com - Bluetooth Adapters, Bluetooth USB Adapter, Wireless Bluetooth USB Adapters, Bluetooth Printer Adapter

Good luck on whatever route you take and hopefully someone else can help you out.
