I just got my t420s and 4gb RAM in the mail. Does anyone have a video walkthrough or pictures of how to install the RAM? I opened the lid with 2 screws on the bottom and found the factory installed 4 gb RAM. Towards the top of the laptop it looks like there might be another place to put it with orange and blue colored wires coming out. I'm not very good with computers, but was told this was an easy and cheap upgrade. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

If you found one RAM slot then the other slot in the T420s is just above it. Put the module into the slot at about 45 degrees than push it down to the clips at each side while also pushing the module into the contacts.
You can get an idea of how it fits by pushing the clips for the module you have to each side. The free side of the module will then spring upwards (push it down again to fix it).

Read the THINKPAD STICKY, there are direct links to both 'ThinkPad Hardware Maintenance Manuals' and 'Service and Support Training'
That should get you started (and get the job done) -
