    Let me know if this plan won't work:

    1. Copy rescue/recovery media to DVD

    2. Make disc image of DVD

    3. Copy disc image of DVD to 8GB microSD

    4. Keep backup on SD chip forever


    Tried to search, but it looks like there is no search right now!

    sounds fine to me. all your really doing is copying a file to an SD. all you would ever have to do is burn the image back to a disk. honestly though i think you could make better use of that SD card unless you have an extra one that size laying around. you can backup the system anywhere you like using R & R any other imaging software.

    Good point, although SD is convenient for size. Has anyone tried making a disc image of recovery media? That's the only part of this that can go wrong I suppose.
