This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I just ordered a t61p. Are there any recommendations as to what to do first when I get my thinkpad. I remember reading something about doing an initial backup of the hidden backup partition. Does anyone have any recommendations or links on here for such recommendations.

    Make the recovery discs and save a copy of the SWTools folder.
