Hello,
Anyone have any info on T400 thinkpads from lenovo? They were supposed to be delayed because of the late release of Centrino2. But that has come and gone a couple of weeks already, any idea when Lenovo will start offer new thinkpads?
I saw the SL series already, but no rollcage, and wobbly screen are definite turnoffs for me. Having said that, i don't know why they should be included in the Thinkpad series.
Also has anyone noticed Lenovo keep changing their frontpage everytime extending the "savings end on..." ?
My workload will increase dramatically in the next month, I usually prefer a Thinkpad over most other laptops, but now with this delay I'm considering going with HP Elitebook 6930p, still no official word on that one also.
Anyway, I dont want buy the old T61 thinkpad (T61p 14" is no longer on offer) only to find out a week later the new T400 is on sale.
Any info appreciated.

Hello,
The information is actually on the Lenovo website. Here's the link http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/na/LenovoPortal/en_US/special-offers.workflow:ShowPromo?LandingPage=/All/US/Landing_pages/Info/08/Montevina&ipromoID=wna00256&
It suppose to be available Aug.5 but I don't think Lenovo has confirmed it. Anyways, all the info is on that site about the specs! good luck -
no news on an X300 refresh there...

thanks for the pointers. So now i guess the question is Thinkpad T400 vs HP Elitebook 6930p.
Also, correct me if im wrong, seems Lenovo don't offer something like HyperSpace (Phoenix Technologies) or Quickboot2 (HP). Thats quick access to some omst of your documents without loading windows. -
although official release info for the Dell Latitude E6400 is sketchy at best, I would add it to your list as it is comparable to the T400 and 6930p.

to be released late November, definitely i can't wait that long. So far two on my list.
Info about upcoming thinkpads?
