I have a T530. It has 180G SSD, 500GB HDD, 1080p....Everything works fine. I am a programmer, no games or video thing. I have to use Win 7 Pro.
I have been thinking about buying a T530 during the holiday season, but only found out that Lenovo virtually is offering no deal for my situation. (They keep changing coupon codes with a very small range of price changes).
So instead of buying a T530, I am going to buying a 500GB SSD, which will keep the computer quiet and fast. I dont feel T530 offers anything I cannot do with my T510, except T530 being"new". If I really need to buy a T530 because of the urge for "new" things, I could buy it summer 2013 or later when T530 could be cheaper. At that time, I could still use my 500GB SSD.
What do you think?
Cheers.

RAM is limited to 8GB 1333MHz, but may not be an issue for you. All-flash storage should be awesome. And you're right, the SSDs can be carried to the new notebook, possibly T/W540.

Yes. Now I am really thinking about T540, unless T530 is quite cheaper with good config ($800 or so).
BTW, do you know approximate time of release of T540?
You read my mind!
Thanks! -
Around May-June 2013.

That is fantastic. Just the time I was hoping to buy a cheaper T530!
Best.
Improving my T510 instead of buying a new T530. What do you think?
