Hello Everyone,
If your notebook has DDR3 memory will your graphics also have GDDR3 memory?

then yes they will have DDR3
If Dedicated:
not always. but likely. DDR3 is still 'higher' end and there for the remainder of the computer is higher end. so likely if it has DDR3 it will have GDDR3 but it is possible to have GDDR2 or vice versa. -
if it's dedicated, there is no link what so ever between the two.
if it's integrated, the it would have ddr2 or ddr3, 64bit if the ram is single channel, 128bit if it's dual channel. -
However, the ThinkPad T500, which you are probably asking for, is sold with DDR3 system memory and the optional HD 3650 (256MB dedicated) comes with GDDR3 video memory.
Edit: I saw your other thread, so the HD 3650 on the Ideapad Y730 seem to have GDDR3 memory as well:

Anyway, I don't know anything about this notebook, so search around for more information. -
Hello Dreamer,
Thank you for you answer and a few links, i believe it will be GDDR3 video memory. I have searched the internet but can't seem to find any more detailed information than the few details i see out there. The laptop spec are below.
Lenovo IdeaPad Y730-8243UBDT 17.1" Notebook
Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.2 GHz Processor
3 MB L2 Cache 1066 MHz Bus speed
4096 MB DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD3650 with 512MB Dedicated Video Memory
If your Notebook memory has DDR3 will your Graphics be GDDR3 (ATI Mobility HD 3650 512MB Dedicated)
