    I would like to buy a Thinkpad from Lenovo website, but I would like to see if tax applied if send to New York. Also how much is the shipping from Lenovo. Thank you.

    Go through the ordering process at Lenovo.com but don't hit submit in order to find out both of these things, you see the total tax and shipping before you have to hit "complete order".

    Lenovo has a presence in most states so you will probably be required to pay tax. I did in Michigan, and I bet you will in NY.

    Lenovo charges tax for all states except Delaware. Definitely for NY/NJ.

    Yeah, there's sales tax in NY when purchasing a ThinkPad.

    Actually, a few other states (Alaska, Oregon, Montanta, and New Hamshire) lack sales taxes, though you may be subject to city based ones or to taxes on similar transactions.
