I just bought an ideapad y470 based mainly on the fact that notebooks for gaming review said it could run crysis at 26 fps on high and could play games very well. I have the I7 edition with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M 1GB with should be able to play games quite well. However, any game i try to play runs at the same FPS regardless of the graphics settings. I beleive i have some options on incorrectly and i just got the laptop so they must be default settings. I dont think the graphics card is even working correctly becuase its seriously slow. Thanks

Flip the switch, you can swap between integrated graphics and discrete card.

Hey, can you tell me how much battery you can get out of your Y470 running a word processor (or something similiar)?
