Good Day,
I hope i posted in the right section . I just need help to get my NVIDIA driver to workon my ideapad u460. When i bought this laptop, it had windows 7 home premium installed with it and the NVIDIA driver is working properly, now i reformatted it and upgraded the OS to win 7 ultimate 32 bit and i was able to install all the drivers except one which is the NVIDIA driver. I get the error message that The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware.
How can i fix this issue? what do i need to do for it to work again?
Below are mg ideapad specs.
Lenovo Idea Pad u460
Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
4GB RAM
Intel i5 CPU.
Also, how much RAM can i put to this laptop since i'm thinking of adding some more. I dont know what is the capacity of my motherboard.
Thank you in advance

Where did you get the Nvidia driver from?
Also; If your have a 32 bit version of Windows, you can only use a little over 3Gb of RAM. You have to get 64 bit in order to use anything over 3Gb of ram.
That brings me to my assumption. If you had a 64 bit and now you have 32 bit, the driver you're trying to install may only work for a 64 bit Windows version. Did the laptop come with a 64 bit version of Windows? -
hi,
thank you for the quick reply.
my ideapad u460 had windows 7 home premium 64 bit when i bought it but I reformatted it and now it has windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.
It had the NVIDIA driver and GUI when i bought it and running windows 7 home premium 64 bit but when i reformated it and change the OS to windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, i'm having problems reloading the NVIDIA driver. I downloaded the correct driver from the lenovo site which is for windows 7 ultimate 32 bit but when i try to install it, its giving me the error i attached on my first post. I don't know what to do next.. -
You may want to post this on Nvidia's forum as this seems to be a known problem.
I noticed that some of the drivers on the support page are for 32 bit only and 64 bit only. I wonder if one of the other drivers (Like the Intel chipset.) isn't allowing you to install the Nvidia?
