Hi,
I have a question that might sound silly regarding the replacement of my Lenovo Ideapad Y580.
I purchased this laptop in North America about 2 years ago and couldn't be bothered less at the time by the QWERTY keyboard.
However after moving back to Europe (France to be more precise) I'm thinking about selling the thing.
Problem is, the QWERTY keyboard is a big turnoff for a potential buyer here. So I'm thinking about replacing it with a french AZERTY keyboard.
Regarding that matter, it seems it's near impossible to find a spare keyboard matching my need specifically for the Y580.
However I did find spare keyboards for other Lenovo laptops that seem identical to my Y580's keyboard (save for the character layout), like this one here for example :
Clavier Français AZERTY pour ordinateur portable LENOVO G580 Noir - Visiodirect -: Amazon.fr: High-tech
I'm wondering however if I can safely purchase this keyboard and expect it to work on my Y580. The layout seems identical, but it's originally for a G580.
I'm a bit of a tech noob however and have no idea if there would be other issues that would come into consideration here (drivers maybe ?). Hence my thread.
Any kind of help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot

If it's identical, it should work. Several Acer laptops use the same keyboards such as the 5935g. It shares an identical keyboard with the TimelineX series of Acers.
