Hey guys, I recently bought an Ideapad Y550, and when it shows the Lenovo screen upon booting, it also plays a sound. The sound isn't really that unpleasant, but I often take my laptop to class, and having it play a pretty loud noise during class is just not acceptable. Is it possible to disable this sound?

What sound? Is it a loud beep? There should be options in the BIOS to disable the POST beeps, if necessary.

It's just a couple seconds of some pleasant instrumental music to accompany the boot screen, not a POST beep.

I can't beleive they would not have included an option in the BIOS to turn it off?

Wait. So is the "Lenovo screen" the BIOS screen? Or does it come afterwards...? If it's before Windows boots, then there should be an option somewhere in the BIOS, I would think.
