    okay i have a decent amount of experience replacing parts ect, but on the y530 i am unsure as to what cpu's it will support, any clue? looking for like 2.6 ghz or greater. could i get a couple of cpu model numbers that will work?

    More than likely you'll void your warranty in doing so if you care. Upgrading to a faster hard drive or SSD is money better spent from a performance perspective.
