    Hey all,

installed xp sp3 on my Ideapad Y430 here...but I can't seem to get rid of the "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus". I have tried manually downloading KB888111 and unzipping it an manually updating it before installing either the modem or the audio, but it doesn't find the proper update.

Every post I read, seems to say that if you manually download KB888111 and unzip it followed with a manual install...things will go well.

    Is there any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

P.S. When I try and install XP x64 with SP2 it crash when it's just about to load in the F8 to continue screen...any clue what that's all about?

so I've been able to install KB888111, but it seems that the driver isn't in the KB888111 hotfix. I installed the hotfix by running doing the following:

Going into HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\CSDVersion, which was set to a hex val of 0x300. I changed this to hex 0x200 for the install of kb888111xpsp2.exe and then changed it back. This didn't help with the detection of the "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus"

    any ideas?

I was also facing similar problem and haven't found any solutions yet. Searching desperately for it (Windows XP SP3, LENOVO Y430).

I will post the solution once I found it.
