Simple question - is the U330 hard drive a standard one and easily replaceable like most other laptops?
My girlfriend's model is throwing disk errors; although I cannot see her until this weekend (both traveling) I suspect the drive is simply dying and I want to get a replacement. I'm not familiar with Ideapad design and wanted to be sure this is a user-replaceable part. The U330 manual suggests it isn't, but the included diagram seems simple enough.
I'm traveling again on Monday so I won't have much time, so just doing my research up front...
Second, she wanted to upgrade to W7 - I have a purchased copy I'm not using. Any issues with doing so on this particular model? I do see driver support on Lenovo's site...

FWIW it works great - Windows 7 x64 installed smoothly and runs well. I used the device drivers on Lenovo's website. Switchable graphics appears to be working properly.
I noticed that batterybar shows the battery 55% worn... given that the laptop is about 13 months old, and relatively little use, that's downright amazing; I manage about 1,500 laptops at work and none of them have quite that level of battery degradation in so short a time.
