While I love my T61p, I'm looking for an additional, smaller notebook that would be lighter, easier to take to class, and better on battery life, leaving my T61p as a desktop replacement.
Originally, I was thinking of getting the Atom-Based Eee when it came out, but it was just too expensive. With the S10 at $400, it looks nice, but I'm wondering how well it would run Linux, as it does have a Broadcom wireless card. Does anyone have any idea?

The S10 should have no problem running Linux, cause Lenovo also has the S9 which is pretty the same machine as the S10, except it has a smaller screen, SSD HDD, and a lower quality camera. But the CPU, chipset, and everything else is the same. And the S9 comes with a Linux OS.

EDIT: Also, will the S10 be available with the 4GB SSD? -
nowhere have i seen the S10 with a 4GB SSD in the US. you might have to go to Hong Kong for that. as much as I hate to say it, maybe the Acer would fit you better. it has the 8.9" screen, an SSD option, Linux and is available everywhere. all for $329.

S10 with SSD? Not according to Lenovo's site, yet. But I noticed that they're updating the site's info. Two days ago, the XP and 80 GB SATA HDD weren't listed under the S9, but now it is. -
Circuit City has the AOA110-1722 listed with an 8GB SSD for $380.
