My Ideapad has an internal microphone and apparently no external microphone input. The connectors are:

    - 2 x USB
    - 1 x stereo audio output
    - 1 x HDMI
    - 1 x Firewire

Is there any solution to connect a stereo headset/boom mike? I find the internal microphone picks up too much background noise.

    Thanks - Simon

You need this splitter, as the jack out is a combo jack (Audio Out/Mic IN).
