    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Lenovo (or any other company for that matter) service department has the right to replace a laptop component with a different one (even if it works). I bought my IdeaPad Z500 with a synaptics touchpad and now it has an Elan one.

Also, does anyone know whether there is any setting (feature) that while a synanptics touchpad has, an Elan touchpad does not?

    Thanks in advance,
