OK I need a laptop for college in the fall but i have three questions.
#1 Should I buy the Ideapad Y510 now from tigerdirect (they have it for $600 after rebates) or will the price come down by the fall?
#2 Would it be worth the money to by the Ideapad with the Intel Core 2 Duo T5420 over the Intel Core 2 Duo T2330 despite spending $200 more?
#3 Does the y510 have Bluetooth?
    Thanks a bunch!

1: Now would be good..it is at a very good price for what you get.
2: The 5420 willl make it more future-proof, so I would say yes.
3: No, you would have to get an ExpressCard adapter.

What would be the difference between the T5450 and the T2330?

I have an Ideapad Y510, and like it very much! I have the 2330 processor, and feel that it performs very well. Honestly ask yourself what you will be doing with the notebook, the $200 price difference for the minimal, probably un-noticeable upgrade in performance, is a huge amount of money in percentage terms vs the gain. I do not agree with the comment about making it more "future proof" as the only thing on the horizon is a 64 bit OS, and they will both run it. A blue tooth "dongle" which plugs in to a usb port will take care of your bluetooth requirements, they cost less than $10 on line and work great!

If you don't need the laptop until the fall, I would say that your should wait. By mid-summer, you will be able to get a more powerful notebook for the same price.
