    Hey folks,

Yesterday I saw what seemed to be a great deal on the IdeaPad Y460P for $899 (About $550 off) pre-tax.

Deal of the Day: $550 Off Lenovo IdeaPad Y460p

However, I've seen very little chatter about it here or elsewhere on the net while looking around. Is it just so new that nobody has gotten their hands on it yet? Is $900 overpriced for what you get? Is the screen just too much of a turnoff?

I always thought the earlier Y460 model was pretty popular, so I was surprised to see so little about it.

    Thanks!

    -Rip

$900 sounds like a good deal to me. I believe the y460p and y560p both got recalled due to the Sandy Bridge mess up.(Don't quote me on that.)

That's a smokin' deal... I was going to wait for the Y470... but I may hop on this deal.

For the form factor it definitely seems like a good price, but the new HP DV6TQE's at around $800 after coupons are a good deal, too. My only complaint with those is you still have the same 1366x768 resolution with a 15.6" screen. Could be a pretty serious amount of washout.

I jumped on that deal too. Not shipping till 3/23 though. pretty slow for a system without configuration options. No?

It took me a month to get my y460 and some people used to wait up to 3 months for their Thinkpads to get to them. So it could be worst.... ;)

I placed my order for this today as well, lists a ship date of 3-25-11, hope they don't lie to me!

I just returned a dm1z due to horrible HP customer service, I think this will be a slight performance boost =)

It shipped. About 12 days before the 'expected ship date'.
