    I'd help you, but i'm using ELAN and i'm not having this issue, nor am i familiar with it :/

    Reinstall/update drivers?

    i have synaptics on y Y510P. no fix i know of, probbaly going to just have to wait for a new driver, I hear folks on windows 7, it works perfectly...

    @ Meani, your y510p has synaptics and your two finger tap isn't working also right?

    two finger tapping doesn't work with the stock lenovo trackpad drivers. I got mine to work by uninstalling the lenovo ones, and installing the generic ones from synaptics. Trackpad felt much more usable after installing the generic drivers too.

    Thank you soooooo much berrykerry789 .... i was just about to return this piece of laptop ..... touch pad was trash it was driving me crazy no double tap was very very annoying and 2 finger scrolling was not working very intermittent .. you just saved frys and lenovo from a return..... thank you soo much .....i was depressed for a few days now ... i bought the best overall laptop and i was unable to use it. i could not find a better laptop for the specs and price and size ...

    this should be made into a sticky

    everyone should install those drivers it makes a world of difference
