Honestly? How many more new models? This is beginning to feel like GM... or at least what GM used to be...

I would disagree here. It seems like the market trend it turning to tablets and touch screen devices and Lenovo wants to get a piece of that market share before it gets really crowded and hard to compete(without really going all out and innovating). The price is pretty fair considering the specs, features, and brand quality/name.

this will take on Apple Tablet thingy and Kindle maybe...... but one thing i am worried about is the flimsiness of the attachment mechanism, the last thing we want is something that will easily break.

Lenovo also has a touchscreen S10-3 tablet coming, as well as a smartbook, so, maybe a lot. ;)

Although I am not fond of the design, I think the concept is refreshing. I think Lenovo is doing the right thing in developing their mainstream IdeaPad range and testing out different model concepts.

What they should not be doing is bridging the gap between the IdeaPads and the ThinkPads as they are doing with the ThinkPad Edge.

The S10-3 tablet looks interesting if the price isn't to high, like the other netbook tablets. It be even better if it came with the D510 dual core atom.

I like the idea ! A powerful laptop and you can detach the screen and use it as a mobile internet/multimedia device. Hope they get it right!

Concerns would be how mobile. Could I take it to the coffee shop and connect or do I need to be within range of the base laptop. Will it have some ports in the screen? I would even like to see a bigger version like a 15"+ screen with a dedicated graphics card in the base.

I know I would do a back flip if I could detach the 17" screen on my notebook and use it as a touchscreen. Be nice to leave about 65% of the weight behind now and then.

They should put tegra2 in it instead of Snapdragon. Better graphics and more battery life.
